Designed by pre-eminent Thai architect Duangrit Bunnag, the resort redefines the tropical getaway with clean lines and strong geometric forms, softened by a palette of wood, limestone and subtle marble finishes for an understated yet unforgettable impression. Arrival at Alila Cha-Am is designed to evoke an immediate
sense of Destination, leading up a grand stairway to a large open-air lobby. From here, the breathtaking view unfolds across a rooftop reflection pool and a maze of interconnected pathways, private terraces and courtyards towards the ocean horizon. Seasonal shrubs and ambient lighting create harmony with natures
seasons and cycles.
The studied intertwining of paths with open spaces heightens the sense of strolling through ones ownprivate gardens, while providing an effortless transition between experiences, from casual chic to exquisite elegance. The resort has two signature restaurants rooftop and poolside and a relaxation and wellness zone at the Chill Pool and Red Bar, whose earthy colour scheme is a soothing reflection of the
natural surroundings. Guestrooms are intimate hideaways that provide both indoor and outdoor seclusion. Private terraces and hammocks abound, and the ultimate suites the pool villas serve as full-scale sanctuaries complete with private garden, pool and terrace.
